Ms Joey

Passionate about helping students reach their full potential, Tutor Joey made the decision to teach full-time after graduating from the National University of Singapore (NUS) with an Honours degree in Biomedical Engineering. Over the past 7 years, she has taught Math and Science to students from Primary 1 through Secondary 4, and has gained a wealth of experience in addressing the diverse learning needs of her students. Her deep understanding of the syllabus, combined with her commitment to continuous learning, has allowed her to develop a highly effective approach to teaching that focuses on both academic improvement and long-term conceptual mastery.

Joey is known for her ability to quickly and accurately identify students’ weaknesses and address them in a way that not only improves their performance but also builds their confidence in the subject matter. By focusing on a solid understanding of the core concepts, she ensures that students can apply their knowledge with greater ease and success. Her goal is always to help students gain a deeper understanding of the material, rather than just memorizing formulas or facts. This approach helps students retain information better and equips them to face future academic challenges with greater confidence.

In addition to her expertise in Math and Science, Joey is deeply committed to going the extra mile for her students. Whether it’s offering additional lessons, providing extra resources, or giving personalized feedback outside of regular tutoring hours, she is always willing to do whatever it takes to ensure her students’ success. Her dedication to supporting her students extends beyond just the lessons themselves, as she also takes the time to track their progress and offer tailored advice for improvement.
